Shipping Policy

KingRide is the trading name of KESTREL COMMERCE LTD, a UK private limited company (Companies House registration number 17221260). All orders are processed and shipped from our German warehouse located in Leisnig, Saxony.


1. Shipping Destination

We currently ship exclusively to Germany. Orders placed with a delivery address outside Germany cannot be fulfilled and will be refunded.

We are working on expanding to other EU countries in late 2026. To be notified when shipping opens to your country, email support@kingride.shop.


2. Shipping Cost

Free standard shipping on all orders within Germany. No minimum order value required.

There are no additional charges of any kind — no fuel surcharges, no handling fees, no oversized item fees. The price you see at checkout is the final price you pay.


3. Order Cut-Off & Processing Time

  • Order confirmation: Email sent immediately upon successful payment.
  • Order cut-off time: Orders placed before 14:00 CET on a business day are dispatched the same business day. Orders placed after 14:00 CET, on weekends, or on German public holidays are dispatched the next business day.
  • Processing time: 1 business day from our warehouse in Leisnig, Germany.
  • Business days: Monday to Friday, excluding German public holidays (e.g. Tag der Deutschen Einheit, Weihnachten, Neujahr).

Maximum delivery time: 30 calendar days from order, per EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 18. If delivery is delayed beyond 30 calendar days, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund.


5. Pricing & Taxes — Full Transparency

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) — Germany:

All prices displayed on our website are final prices including German VAT (19% MwSt.). Because we ship from our German warehouse in Leisnig directly to German addresses:

  • ✓ No customs duties (shipment is entirely domestic within Germany)
  • ✓ No import VAT (already collected at checkout)
  • ✓ No customs handling fees from DHL or DPD
  • ✓ No surprise charges on delivery

The price displayed at checkout is exactly what you will be charged. Nothing more.

Tax breakdown on your invoice:
Net price (Nettopreis): The bike price excluding VAT
+ 19% German VAT (MwSt.): The standard German VAT rate
= Final price (Endpreis): What you pay

A proper German VAT invoice (Rechnung mit MwSt.-Ausweis) is included with every shipment.


6. Tracking Your Order

Once your order is dispatched, you receive a tracking number by email within 24 hours. Track your delivery in real time via the DHL or DPD portal, or through the link in your shipping confirmation email.

If you do not receive a tracking number within 2 business days of order confirmation, email support@kingride.shop.


7. Out of Stock

In the rare case a product becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we notify you within 24 hours by email with two options:

  • Option A — Full refund: Refunded to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
  • Option B — Backorder: We provide an estimated restock date; you decide whether to wait or cancel for a full refund.

8. Delivery & Signature

  • All bike deliveries require a signature upon receipt (Empfangsbestätigung) to prevent theft, loss, or damage.
  • If you are not home, the carrier leaves a Benachrichtigungskarte and attempts redelivery (typically 3 attempts).
  • After 3 failed delivery attempts, the package returns to our warehouse; a re-shipment fee may apply.
  • You may also nominate a Packstation or pickup location at checkout for greater flexibility.
  • Please provide an accurate German shipping address. Address corrections charged by DHL/DPD are passed to the customer; we will contact you before any extra cost is incurred.
  • If you pay via PayPal, we ship to the confirmed PayPal address only.

9. Customs / Zollkontrollen

Because we ship from within Germany (Leisnig, Sachsen) to German addresses, there are no customs procedures. Your order does not cross any borders and is not subject to Zollkontrollen.


10. Damaged or Lost Packages

If the package arrives with visible external damage, do not refuse delivery. Instead:

  1. Take clear photos of the packaging from all sides before opening.
  2. Open the box and check for product damage — photograph anything affected.
  3. Email support@kingride.shop with photos within 48 hours of delivery.

We replace damaged parts or arrange a return-and-replace at our expense (free return shipping via DPD).

If a package is reported lost in transit (no tracking movement for 7+ business days), contact us — we file a carrier investigation and either reship or refund within 14 business days.


11. Order Cancellation

  • Before dispatch (within 2 hours of order, before processing starts): Full refund to original payment method, processed within 5 business days.
  • After dispatch: Cannot be cancelled — please refuse delivery or follow our Return Policy after receiving.

12. Restocking Fee

No restocking fee. We do not charge any restocking, repackaging, or inspection fee for eligible returns. 100% of the bike price is refunded within the 30 calendar day return window. See our full Return Policy for details.


13. Returns & Refunds

We offer a 30 calendar day return window from the date of delivery. Return shipping within Germany is fully covered by KingRide (prepaid DPD label provided). Full conditions and procedures are detailed in our Return Policy.
